Two HVAC Vents on Driver and Passenger Sides by Doors
Anyone know the purpose for the two vents (stacked top and bottom) on the driver and passenger sides by the doors on the X5?
I don’t see this in any other models… Thanks. |

Yeah I'm not sure either, I barely ever feel air coming out of them.

They're simply vents...no additional purpose. If you don't feel air coming out of the smaller vent, check your vent settings in the idrive, you may be divert air to all 3 regions and have the fan too low at the same time.

Just a weird design.
Air flow from side vents is limited enough, to split into two makes little sense. Splitting the center two into four makes more sense; like the last generation Range Rover. |
