Air vent problem

Got back from the car wash and found this vent regulator on the passenger floor, looks like the whole vent has to come out to fix it.
Has anyone come across this issue?
Thank you.

Good thing you found it! Will probably need to be glued from the backside like you said. There is no replacement part or quick fix that I know of, you just have to buy a whole new vent if you don't wanna fix it yourself. One went missing in the wife's E70, never to be seen again...I don't sit back there so didn't replace it.

Forget the glue,

Go to venttabs.com and order replacements. Less than $10 each. I got two, and was so surprised at the quality, I broke the rest out and replaced them with this MUCH higher quality plastic. They fit and operate PERFECTLY!!
