Order placed - X5M

The wifes lease is up in June on her 4.8i, so we went in over the weekend and placed an order for a 2011 X5M.

Melbourne Red with Black Preforated Merino. All the bells and whistles, minus comfort access. We are probably going to upgrade to the 21" Style 215 (Gray) or 239 wheels.

Should be here in May.

She likes the X5 body style over the X6.

2011 X5M

Are they predicting any changes on the 2011?
Is the price structure relatively unchanged?

Other then the change in the motor (Going from the V10 to the V8TT), I believe that everything is relatively the same.

I agree, and that was my point, the other poster is wrong.

I was under the impression that the X5M had the same motor as the M5, which was a
V10.

Apparently I was not correct.

X5M

The 2010 X5M has a 4.4L 550hp 500ft-lb engine.
Twin turbo.
And it only has 8 cylinders.

Expect the same for 2011.

The X5M has the same engine as the new F01 7 Series but tuned to 550hp. There was a MR on Black X5M at my dealer the last time I was there and it looks just amazing. You'll like it I'm sure. Very thirsty however.

What people think is that it has the same engine as the NEW M5 that is coming out...which is probably true.

I stand corrected. 550hp is the output of the Cayenne Turbo S which the X5M is gunning for.
