Standard does not, but you can get all windows tinted as an option (BMW option). I have my driver's side scratched a little and not sure where to take it to get fixed. Don't really want to replace the whole window because of the tint scratches. If anyone has any suggestions, please reply.

There's no factory tint option for front windows; however, even non-tinted glass is not 100% clear, which makes me suspect it still has some sort of filtering capabilities... dunno what kind, though.

I meant front (left side) driver's side window, not front glass

I have the same question. The driver/passenger windows don't appear to be completely clear, and with my polarized glasses, I see a pattern of dark spots on it, which leads me to believe there is some sort of filter.

There is a tint on the front two windows, (a greenish tint) you can especially tell when there is water on it, such as rain, it is UV protected, I know because I have transition eye glasses, but DO NOT transition in the car because of the UV protection on the glass

As far as tint, 30% is the way to go to make a close match to the other tint, but you can't match the darkness of the rear (Illegal)

Also, if your tint gets scratched, it's a typical BMW problem, the tint shop can put a Moleskin as a lining, (they know exactly what you are talking about).... If the dealer tinted it, most likely they have a 3rd party tint place, if not, request Moleskin lining...

So that's why my Transitions never gets dark, even when it's really sunny!

Yep, after spending $500+ on a pair of transitions, I realized it the hard way... so now i have a prescription pair of sunglasses for driving that cost me another $600...
