Peace out!
Sold my 2009 X6 50i today and i gotta say it was the best move! Dont get me wrong, i loved the "beast" but i know it was gonna be a headache to keep after hitting 70K miles & i know its gonna be someone else's headache now, not to mention this thing eats up gas & engine oil like there is no tomorrow! lol Even though i lost lots of $ on the value of the trade in, i'm happy to say Hello to my new Lexus GS F-Sport! SO Peace out Xbimmers!

Wow. Not a Lexus. Good luck. Not sure it a worthy option next to what you had. Isn't it a glorified Toyota Avalon?

The Lexus will run forever with little to no maintainance! Smart move, exactly what I will be doing when my extended warranty runs out at 100k.

Whatever floats your boat. Personally, I hate Lexus, but that's a long story involving a douchebag salesman 15 years ago
You are right though, it can get expensive to upkeep a high end German car after warranty period runs out, no sugar coating that part. |

at these interest rates and a bit of negotiation practice, it doesn't cost more to lease than to own which invalidates the whole concept of expensive after warranty maintenance. This, of course, assumes you don't need to drive more than 15-20K miles a year.

Guaranteed you will have less or no problems/issues with Lexus, compared to the BMW X6; however, you sold excitement of driving a car together with your BMW. Lexus is just too boring to drive compared to a BMW X6

As Jeremy Clarkson says...
"…driving a Lexus has always been like sitting in a bucket of warm wallpaper paste..." Enjoy!

I think it is funny that we are knocking Lexus when most would argue the F10 528/535 drive more Lexus like than a Lexus GS-F.

I respect some of their cars and agree (from reading, not driving) that it seems they've improved in terms of their "feeling" over the years. And the LFA cannot be denied. |

I'm not a fan either (although that new GS sure is sharp looking). But I got tricked into leasing one in 2001 and it was the longest 39 months of my life. Damn C&D for saying the GS430 was as good if not better than the 540. Oh the things I hated about that car.

All i really read about in this forum is all the issues everyone is having with their X6. I know i had to deal with problems one thing after another and as soon as your warranty is done how much more money can you drop on fixing this car. I got to a point where i just wanted a new car with very low maintenance for the next 7 -10 years and also will hold its resale value. But the X6 50i is a fun and safe SAV. A great car to lease but not own.
I know this pic dont belong in this forum but this is my new beast. |

Disagree - in fact, I'd love to see more pics of the car. It is a great looking ride!
