DVD not reading NAVIGATION DVD

2008 x5 e70 comfort and dvd in dash under cd player can anyone help me with this.. my car did not come with the nav dvd and i got a burned one that worked for like a week then stopped reading it.. what is the issue here?? the dvd or the player>?? what should i burn the files on? what dvd works best? thanks

I've been using the Taiyo Yuden's (the second choice in the image) for years with no issues. Verbatim (the first choice in the image) work too but you have to check where they are made.
