Definitive answer on EGR Delete without tune?
I have searched, but seen conflicting answers.
Will the car go into limp mode with just an EGR Delete (Race Pipe) and no tune? I understand it will cause a check engine light, but I am specifically wondering if it will cause reduced power. I am planning on getting a tune in the near future when I do the downpipe, but was just going to get the EGR Delete out of the way with ahead of time (hopefully today). Thanks |

So here's what you do... full egr cooler delete, meaning coolant lines blocked off (big plus), egr hot side is blocked off, and race pipe is installed where egr valve use to be. Now, the important part. Leave the egr valve secured to the side in the engine bay and keep it plugged in.

I’m not sure that this is a total solution for stock tuning just because I never did this longterm. I ran this for awhile before tuning and never had an issue but some codes, but really the full solution is tuning.
