What tire mileage are you getting for RFs ?

My X6 recently phoned home to setup a oil change which I did,
when I picked up the car my SA said when they had it up on the rack they noticed the wear on my front tires. He said I would probably need to replace them in about another 4000 miles, I have 11000 miles on the car. I do drive it hard.

I know that RFs don't last as long but what do you think ?
Those that have a 50i and RFs and mileage in this range what are your experiences ?

I am at 11k miles with 1/3 tread gone.

So I expect close to 30k miles.

My previous car was a 645. The run flats last until about 35k.

If you are getting around 15k miles, I suspect hard driving or poor alignment or both.

must be my hard driving , I would think if it was out of alignment enough to cause excessive wear (wear is even across tire) I would fell it. I will have them do alignment when I get tires replaced. They were somewhat surprised as they said normally it back tires that wear first . oh well.
Thanks

You know, when I watch the videos of a x6 on the track, I wondered how long the tires would last. You can hear that outside tire squalling as it round the turn. It almost seems that you could see the rubber particles flying.

Agree I remember thinking about that when I watched the videos, I'm not that hard of a driver

Your brakes may not be adjusted properly. If your car applies more brake force to the front wheels in relation to the back wheels, the front tires and brake pads will have to take the brunt of the energy!
