new member...more powaaa pls

guys just picked up a 2001 6 cyl turbo x5.....looking to max the power on this....hearing burger tune....but what else...who's down pipe? anything else i can do?

I think you mean 2011. I would look into the Cobb tune, ER downpipe, ER chargepipe, exhaust, and intake.

It's an X5 with a 6-cylinder. If you wanted power, you should have gone for the V8.

thanks...im ok...i wanted the 6..just wanted to maximize power....my 600HP amg more then makes up for the lack of fast in the x5

I think with a 2000+ kg vehicle you need torque to get the mass moving.

The M and diesels do this by hitting peak torque early through either diesel detonation effectiveness, or the displacement of the 4.4 petrol V8, and adding forced induction to ensure they don't run out of puff as you move up the rev band.

As omgboost mentioned, gains on any forced induction system can be realised through optimisation of airflow, albiet somewhat minimal.

SkypirateX has all the bolt on mods and was able to produce 290HP & 330 lbs torque to the wheels. Based on 20% drivetrain loss, that comes out to approximately 360HP/410TQ crank numbers
