X5M aftermarket brake pad options

Has anyone had any experience with a good aftermarket brake pad for the X5M? I'll be replacing my rotors shortly and I'm looking for a brake pad that has a focus on spirited daily driving but that doesn't have the dust problem of an OEM pad. I searched the forum but didn't come up with any real concrete information. I also called ECS Tuning and they said they only stocked pads that had are basically made of the same compounds as the oem pads. Any direction would help.

Cheers

Ceramic pads no dust ... much better than the $300 tag for OEM

Thank you dear sir, so you have installed these with no problems and have minimized the dust problem with the oem pads?

I have the Powerstop Z23 pads, also no dust and good stopping power.

They squeal on cold mornings for the first stop, but that's my only complaint

Good info here. In comparing the brake feel from my e90 M3 with dustless Centric pads to the X5M with OEM “max dust” pads, the M3 has considerable less initial bite. I have to use much more pressure to get the same result in that car. This perspective is from having the M3 for several years with those pads and just picking up the X5M a few months ago.

I’ve heard good things about the Z23 pads, would like to put them on the X5, but would hate to lose the performance of the OEM pads.

Looking forward to more feedback on the best dustless pads.

They definitely are not OEM bite, but i'd say they are 90%. and the performance is very good when they warm up.

To me, it was worth the less dust, i couldnt get through three stop signs without having to clean the wheels on OEM Pads
