Increased battery discharge?
With limited driving during the pandemic... I started getting above message on my 2011 x5m.
Thinking my battery might just be low on charge i put it on a trickle charger overnight. That did not do much as i got the same message again the next day. My battery being about 6y old.. i replaced the battery with https://www.pepboys.com/champion-agm...roduct/2071679 ..and had it registered at an Indi shop who also cleared all the codes. I parked the car for 30min and when I got back in, I again got the same message. This is with a brand new battery.. any idea why I might be seeing it again? Even if the alternator is bad... i dont think the battery would discharge in 30min. |

I would check for a power draw. If you have comfort access it could be that since it's fairly common part to go bad and pull power

Champion batteries are hit or miss. I have one in my son's Audi and it's starting to go after a year. May want to look at another brand and just replace it.

Mine started to do that off and on...then I lost the functionality of the drivers side front doors comfort access. Seems the door handles are an issue. See if it's warm. Just a though
