21" tires
Can anyone recommend tires.. tire rack has only 2 options and both are $600 a tire!
285/35/21 and rear 325/30/21 attached is my x5M with 21" tires

There's a thread about this... Michelin Pilot Super Sports (about the best tire money can buy) are now available in these sizes, and they are non run flat. They're about $2000 for a set though, on Tire Rack. Aside from those, you can get Dunlop SP Sport Maxx (runflat) or Pirellis (unsure of model, but also a runflat).
I believe there's one other option, but its a snow/winter tire. I have the Dunlops, can't wait for them to burn up so I can get the Michelin PSS. And if they're all too pricey, go back to the 20" wheel... 21" wheels/tires are not for the faint of heart...

Here is the thread. http://www.xbimmers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1074617 The guy selling them on the Ebay site I mentioned said he had a number of sets and were selling pretty good. If you don't mind slightly "pre abused" tires then It's a good deal.
