Intro with vehicle change.

With the addition of a new family member, the X3 had to go.
Picked up a 2007 X5 3.0 Alpine White on "chocolate"

Loving the ride so far. It did not do well this morning with the cold start.
Check engine light popped on and the code says the Cyl 1 in not firing properly.
Hoping the power train warranty from the car dealership we bought it from will take care of this.

Wanting to do some minor things ( LED angels, tint, maybe hitch ).

But love our 2014 320i too. Its the 4th one we have had. (02, 08, 11, & 14)

Looking good - welcome to the X5 community

You might already be aware, but putting LED bulbs in your halogen X5 corona setup will never come close to looking like those in your 320i, unfortunately.

truth, the E9X M3's all have such halogen halo lights, no matter which bulb you use, it'll never replicate a true LED lighting system.

On my M3, I tried a few bulbs, got sick them as they actually look invisible in daytime b/c their light temps match sunlight and OEM lighting system isn't set up for higher energy output. I then decided to go back to halogens, at least on my car, they look pretty unique as not many pre-LCI BMWs have M3 style halos

Yes I am unfortunately aware of this. I would just like them to be color matched to the headlights. I have not pulled the trigger on any yet bc I have been trying to find the best option. I figured some in here would have recommendations on which were actually worth it. Or maybe there is just a halogen alternative others like better?

Are there any aftermarket headlight replacement with LEDs modded?
I had bought a pair for one of our older 328xi's, but not sure I have ever seen some for X5s.

Aftermarket? No. I'd just leave your lights as-is (or buy a whiter halogen bulb) or buy the 2012+ lights and retrofit them for a few thousand dollars.

What kind of warranty would a 2007 X5 come with? Just curious...

IMO you nailed it with that last sentence. Some here will disagree, I think because there's a general belief that LED are better than halogen no matter what. But from what's I've seen in pictures, a whiter halogen bulb looks better than the LED options. The outer corona with LED bulbs nearly disappears once your no longer looking straight at the front of the vehicle and the inside corona becomes a blob of light.

I've tried the LUX V4, Cree, and the PIAA extreme white halogen...IMHO I think they all suck...I'm just going to retrofit my headlights with OEM 2012+ LED headlights for a few grand...all I need to do now is find someone or some place to buy them
