I believe another difference in DS or S vs Regular D mode is that the transmission will shift to 1st gear when at dead stop in Sport Mode vs. 2nd gear at dead stop when in regular D mode.. Hence the sleepier acceleration in D mode.

See! You too? I've been driving around with the sport button on for two months thinking that was the best it was gonna get! He even told me not to press that button on until I pass 1200 miles! I even told the wife, I thought it felt better! LMAO. There are so many dumasses out there selling BMW's. I should've read the dang manual, but the thing is thicker than a phone book. Who's got that much time?

i had a CLS55 too. if u're referring to the C/S button next to the gear shifter i think that means Comfort vs. Standard. Comfort means the tranny starts at 2nd gear, while the Standard is 1st gear. other than that the car drives the same. |

(150 or 160 MPH) you can't go any faster. It was fast you don't have much time to look at your speedos! However, you can get up to M6 gear if you use the gear shift paddle or the manual gear stick. Last edited by Rayvkt; 05-08-2010 at 05:27 AM.. |
