CPO car
1) I've heard that it is expensive to fix car post warranty. So is that because people take it to a BMW dealer or is it still very expensive if you take it to a local bmw expert?
2) looking into 2013 x5 with under 30K miles. but warranty runs out 2019. is it worth paying extra 3k for an additional year of coverage? save the money and bite the bullet? with car under 30k miles it is basically new. |

transfer case and that was only 1k to replace. So in my case an extended warranty would not have been a good investment. |

2 - what X5 are you looking at? 35i? 35d? 50i? I personally have no use for aftermarket warranties. Would rather save the $ and pay for whatever comes up. FWIW, my BMW CPO warranty on my X5 is expiring this September, and I've yet to get a friction' dime from that warranty. The only 2 items that have come up...not covered. Save your $ and ride it out. That's what I'll do going forward. |
