X6 running boards & backup camera retrofit possible?
Can I retrofit the OEM X6 running boards & backup camera on a 2010 model that does not have them from the factory? Any idea of the cost of these parts? Does the X6 comes prewired for a backup camera and I just buy the part and possible a module? I've done the CD changer and bluetooth module retrofit on my E46 and it was a breeze. Thanks in advance on any helpful advice, tried a search and could not find a thread dor OEM retrofits.

I did retrofited both, the OEM running boards are very easy to install, 1 hour at most.
Since the price for the rear view camera was so high here in Costa Rica ( $2500 installed) I bought an aftermarket rear-view camera system that works with the factory OEM iDrive, installation is kind of difficult and probably you will loose the factory warranty, I did not care about it so much, the manufacturer is called QDIS from Korea, they only sell the video interface, then you will have to buy the camera from a manufacturer in China called RESUNSHOP |

the guys great at alekshop. i got my module and back up camera from him. my camera actually went dead this weekend, i called him and he said ship it to me and ill send you a brand new one. i should be getting the new one this week or early next week. customer service is great with them and the module+camera is very cheap considering the alternative. on my M5 the module and cam I bought from navtv was a lot more expensive
