So I am taking delivery of my new 2010 X5M and this is what i see coming off the truck.. I drove it around the parking lot figuring that it might adjust itself. No luck. Any advice.

I would contact that dealer ASAP and send them these pics…this doesn't look right. Sorry for your troubles, I hope you get this resolved quickly…I can't imagine buying an X5 (especially an ///M) and this happens upon delivery.

I cant help but to make light of my situation. After waiting for about two weeks for the delivery and for the car to show up in this condition is disappointing. It seems like the truck driver might have over tighten the chains on the car. Anyways,, it is on the way to the local bmw dealer to be checked out.. except that they have a backlog and it will take them couple of days to get to it..

I have a 65 foot sea ray sedan bridge (its a boat)... It has twin, 700 gallon fuel tanks on both the Port and Starboard sides. Simply when the boat begins to list to one side... I make sure I put a few extra gallons of fuel in the opposite tank to counter balance the lean.

I am not sure you can do this with the M.. but good luck lol.

It can be a faulty airbag or sensors on the suspension

I didn't think there was something up front though, related to airbags? Just the rear.

There's no bags up front but I beleive the truck set its height depending on rear bags cuze while I was doing my suspension I saw leveling sensors in the front by the coilovers

They are just for the headlight adjustment. I don't think this problem is just the bags. Never would sank this much in front.

I can imagine your disappointment on taking delivery of that... I can also imagine the truck driver's "I have no idea!" explanation.

I wasn't aware that the earlier models had airbags like the later years, but that would make sense and be the first thing I would check. If the battery was disconnected during shipping, that might make sense, but after starting it and driving a bit if it didn't come back up, then yeah there is an issue.
That would be job #1; the front may be fine. Hopefully...

Boy, with a stance like that I bet you'd kill it around a right-hand-turn circle track!

(just trying to help you not take the situation too seriously lol)

Any compensation from the transport company? Obviously the dealer didn't turn it over to the transport in that condition.

Glad to hear it'll soon be fixed.

smolieri - was the RR air spring the only issue? Have you straightened up and are flying right?

Heatmizr,
Yes, thats what it was. I did get it fixed though i have not been reinbursed by the dealer yet. I bought it Wisconsin and I live in Louisiana. I think the dealer is waiting for the $$ fromt the transport company before paying me. That is pissing me off. I have not had a chance to post some pics as I have been out of town. Will try today for the "New X5M owner" thread..

So this was only a rear airbag issue? It just doesn't make sense as it seems the front was leaning just as much.
