All season or Winter setup for NJ?

Living in NJ, my X5 sport came with 20's Bridgestone Dueler Sport RFT summer tires… with no spare.

What do you guys prefer/suggest ? should i go for DWS all season or a separate winter setup (wheel and snow tires)?

which one makes more sense?

Get a set of DWSs and don't look back.

Silly question but do they come as RFT also or just as non-RFT?

DWS only come in non-RFT.

The DWS is a fantastic all season performance tire. Its arguably as good a dry tire as is the factory RFT's.

I have a 2011 50i and also have the 20's .... I went with DWS. The tires are great for NJ. I live in NJ also so I know how the roads/winters can be and these tires hold up great.

i was just thinking of keeping a small handy 12v compressor for small fill ups being able to take me few miles to get the flat fixed… otherwise you can always use BMW roadside assistance.

The comfort for a non RFT out weights the hassle...

If you live in an area that gets a lot of snow, consider a second set of wheels with real snows (Blizzaks, Michelin Alpins, Nokians, etc.). The difference between a good all-season and a real snow/ice tire is significant.
