winters are on and why it took me 2 days
Finally got the winter set on today after fighting stacked bolt for 2 days, it took me 3 trips to AutoZone and broken adapter to get it done.

Wow, that shit is mangled. Over tightened bolt?
What was the trick? I'm surprised the tire shop couldn't do it, or you had separate set of winters premounted? |

The trick was to find a right socket (the one that would get in to the metal deep and get a good grip on it) it was already 16mm at the time I got the socket I tried different types of socket and none of them worked except the last one, I can get details on that socket if u interested. Good that I did it that day as we had quite a bit of snow in a last couple of days. I wasn't able to drive much though as I brought my car to take a look at why my washers doesn't spray water to front and rear windows and my car is in the shop for last 2 days, they had to take passenger side fender out to get to the motors and reservoir, apparently 2 out of 3 motors has been damaged (using bad water by previous owner) I had no idea that fixing sprayers will be such a big job! |
