E70, retrofit Sideview cameras wiring question

Hey all, I have the mirror cameras and reverse camera installed from the factory. I've collected the parts to install the front bumper side view cameras.

In the BMW TIS I can only find instructions for a cable repair procedure that tells you to punch holes in the firewall grommets, seal them from the outside and route the cable for the passenger side camera under the carpet.

I doubt this was how the camera cables were routed if installed at the factory - can anyone give me any insight please as to where they come through the firewall on a factory installation? Any insight on how they're routed through the dash would also be awesome please.
