Smile

Just picked up my X5M the day before Christmas and had the Pirelli Scorpion Ice winters mounted the same day. I am new to the X5 and BMW's so was not sure what to expect with the horsepower and the X drive.

We have had record snow for Calgary in December and it keeps on snowing. The X5M has handled the conditions like a champ. I am truly impressed. I think it handles the streets better than my wife's Grand Cherokee.

I got the 3M coating last week. We really need it here in Calgary. I am seriously considering putting on some mud flaps as well. I would like something I can take off in the summer.

Enjoying the ride

All I just had another X5m owner move in 20 feet across from me in my apartment complex. The owner has a Melbourne red.

If your on these forums come on over!

I continue to be impressed with how this car handles. I have not pushed it to its limits but I can definitely say that for the money this Dinan suspension is the best bang for the buck. Obviously coilovers are A big step up and there is no doubt that every stance I've seen on a X5/6M model with coilovers just looks incredible

I am located in Chicago and between the snow and the cold, it has been a rough week. I was going to get the DWS for the X5m since I have the DW on my M3 for the summer and it seems that the DWS would be adequate for full year Chicago weather. I do not have the spare tire kit, what are all of you carrying in the car in case of a flat without the run flats?

The fix a flat that BMW sells. That's what I bought at least. Knock on wood I haven't had a flat tire in 10+ years
