I agree. It was kept very classy. I love modding things to a point where the uneducated question whether or not things are factor and the educated know that you have a lot invested. Great work.

Active Autowerkes stage 2+ installed (catless DPs).
Noticeable difference in torque over previous tune. More responsive too. Less gaseous odor, but still a hint at times. |

I feel that a tune is a 100% must have, especially if you own an X5M. If you do not have a tune, then you are truly missing out..
When I first installed the DPs, I wasn't sure that I would keep them. The odor was noticeable and the truck seemed a little too loud for my taste. In my mind, it didn't really make any more noticeable power, yet the reduced engine bay heat was the biggest motivator for me to keep them. Then I began to like the new exotic sound my truck was making.... It sounded much more aggressive and "M" like. Now that Active Autowerke has imporved their stage 2+ tune for cattless downpipes, I have noticed less gaseous odor and an increase in torque over their previous tune. I think I will keep my DPs now. |

Spoke design is almost too similar. I feel you could get most of that look by getting your wheels painted gloss black. Now if you were to get rid of your BBS after than it would be fine. However, having two sets of wheels with that close of a spoke design seems a little redundant.
Does look nice though. |

Okay, your new wheels have grown on me and I'm a fan. I can't stop staring at your new wheels so definitely keep those. I've literally spent the whole evening news zooming in on your Brixton photo and looking at every angle. They look like a 2-piece to me. The only thing you are missing imo are some yellow Brembos. Too bad you don't know anyone who has a set laying around that they bought a while ago...

Love the new wheels man. The sharp/defined lines make them look really aggressive compared to the bbs. They definitely show off the bbk nicely! I would stick with this color, never been a fan of any shade of bronze wheels on a charcoal/silver car. If it was black or white, I would be thinking differently.

A small regret here...
However, letting someone else enjoy them now will allow for an even better upgrade for the X5M. Last edited by gixxerboy63; 12-24-2015 at 09:43 AM.. |

Why?
You already have them, might as well use them. It will finish off your build. Then throw the stocks on your other X5. |

They're gone. I wanted different rotors anyway.

Although the Brembo BBK rotors are 10mm bigger, the BBK calipers appear to be smaller and don't take up as much surface area on the disc as the OEM setup.
The OEM Brembo calipers look more massive to me. Last edited by gixxerboy63; 12-24-2015 at 02:32 PM.. |

I was thinking about buying a BBK but like you said the OEM Brembo calipers we have are already huge...I may just go with a different rotor setup
