OBDII Code P2201 - NOx Sensor (bank 1)

Can anyone help with this code (P2201 - NOx Sensor/bank 1) on my 2009 X5-35d, on other forums I have read that in the BMW Mechanics Manual it says this code can come from 'uncompatible diesel exhaust fluid' but the BMW parts guy said there is no difference from one DEF to another, on another forum it says thr P2201 is 'wrong def fluid added, I have also read there is 1 and then that there is 2 NOx sensors in my X5 (one upstream and one downstream)? I have talked with a parts guy at an aftermarket supply store and now being told an O2 Sensor can trip this code also?

Can you also give suggestions and options where I can buy a NOx Sensor aftermarket as BMW wants over $800 for one.

What is the emissions warranty in Canada? In California it is 7 years/70k miles, and this would a covered component.

Best to search the Bimmerfest forum - this is an indication of an efficiency problem in the SCR system - perhaps an issue with one of the NOx sensors, but it needs to be tested.
Not an O2 sensor problem.
