LED Aftermarket Angle long-term issues?

Anyone had long-term issues with aftermarket H8 LED light bulb?
My X5M pre LCI - halogen H8 angel eye, replaced with aftermarket LED bought from Ebay 80W, works great had them in for almost an year, no flickers and no error issues.
But dealer just called (was in for a service) saying my light module is fried? and needs to be replaced, it's a footwell module?, saying it's throwing error code and said it's probably due to aftermarket LED light?

Don't fall for that crap!!! The error is probably only because your LED's draw significantly less power than the OEM bulbs.. The module assumes there is an issue (blown bulb) but if they are still working and you don't have any errors on the dash.. don't always believe the dealership and their teenage staff getting paid 8-10 bucks an hour and they charge you $100+ lol.. I'm sorry, I'm sure there are some good techs there, but if you have the means or know someone with a BT (bavarian technic) cable, they can scan and clear your footwell module errors. If it's really a problem, you wouldn't have lights or you'd atleast have an annoying dash warning...

a lot of the e-bay lights are not fused or protected, so it the angel eye bulb stopped working then it could cause a lot of problems or even a short. I recommend putting the stock bulb back in first to see if it works.
