X6M Tune & exhaust

Just curious to see if anyone has had anyhting to do with the Hamann motor sport tune & exhaust setup for the X6M, they state 670hp from the tune & exhaust. Impressive sound judging by the video clip and i can imagine it'd move out with that much tqe. If anyone has fitted this kit can you post your opinions up please.

I would recommend to what for the ESS X5M/X6M tune. They offer some good power for the M cars.

Not sure who does the Hamann tune since they outsource most of the product that they offer. Here is a link to ESS tuning http://www.esstuning.com/ I will check on how the X6M/X5M tune is going.

We import Hamann's full line of products directly from Hamann in Germany. With that said, we have not had a client come in yet with an X6m willing to purchase their ECU/Exhaust P670 package. Its pretty pricey, not going to lie, we lost 20-30% to the exchange rate. I think $1= .77 euros right now.

So far we have just brough in the aero items.

I got word that Germany has the full power kit in stock, but it does require to remove the ECU and send it to them for the software installation. Of course though they didn't give me the latest pricing on it. I emailed them back right away for the pricing again.

Wasn't expecting that, is it just a stainless exhaust or a titanium system...By the time you have someone fit it all up the kit will owe 20k

It is actually the ECU upgrade, and full turbo back exhaust including high flow cats, downpipes, center X-pipe, and sport mufflers. It is TUV approved. and we are losing 30% to the exchange rate. Right now its 1 euro=1.30usd. Couple weeks ago it would have been right around 15k.

It is expensive don't get me wrong but your also getting piece of mind. Everything is coming from one company. Guaranteed to fit. And you shouldnt spend 3k to install everything. I wouldnt spend more than $1000 on install. I'm still waiting on fitting time. It should be less than ten hours I would assume since its all bolt on. Might have to remove the drive shaft if anything has to be removed at all.

Keep an eye out on that euro, I will install everything for free if anyone wants to come to Charlotte NC

GNP-Matthew -

In reference to the Hamann Sportkit HM 670. According to Hamann this mod requires Super Plus 98 ROZ fuel. Could you shed some light on this requirement? The NA Hamann rep I spoke with a couple weeks ago was trying to talk me out of this based on the fuel requirement but maybe he was misinformed. I can actually get 100+ octane fuel locally but not sure if this would suffice. Also, does Hamann warranty this mod? I assume it would void the factory drive train warranty. Any links to how this exhaust sounds? This is new territory for me. Thx.

mgakathereaper,

98 ROZ according to my sources is similar to our 91-93 octane here so if your information is correct (I'm still waiting confirmation directly from Germany) then your 91-93 pump gas will get the job done. If you have 100 octane and would like to run that all the time I can look into getting you a 105 or 108Ron = 100 oct USA program.

As far as warranty goes. The exhaus shouldn't void your cars entire warranty. Perhaps if you had an O2 sensor go out or something (highly uncommon "just saying" ) they probably would not cover it but then again its not a very expensive part at all. However the ECU Upgrade is definately putting more stress on the drive train however there are a few X6m's with this kit already around the world so far with out any issues. This kit was released back in Jan. or Feb. for what its worth.

What do they consider super plus 98, is this someone above normal 98 or the same thing. Over here in Australia 95% of places have 98, i don't think iv'e filled with anything but since iv'e had a licence.

I would assume that if it's TUV approved it'll carry some form of warrenty.

Well thats good news, as i posted above we have access to 98 RON in almost all places in Aus. I would have thought more people would have taken to this kit seeing as the car has quite a bit of after market potential.

Any 1/4 mile times from anyone with this kit fitted so far ?

No 1/4 mile runs yet. Talking to a few US clients about the kit but its not cheap by any means. Then again its a full exhaust with downpipes and high flow cats with software all from one tuner with a good rep world wide.

We do the Hamann performance and aero kits importing directly from Germany. I have sold several kits already our clients seem to be impressed and happy with the results. Package includes full turbo exhaust and ECU upgrade.

Feel free to give me a call @ 888 488 2028 EXT 257 if dialing international 704 525 0941 EXT 257
