New Carbon black X5 35i

Delivery was earlier in January. It's been amazing so far

Thanks to,
-Josh at JML audio for the clear bra, tint, and new car prep, and all around great service
-Nate at IND for the painted reflectors and 3d pedals
-The guys at tischer for the OEM parts

Excuse some of the iPhone pics

On to the pics!

Waiting to be prepped/detailed

Freshly tinted and detailed!

Mid reflector delete

Front reflector deleted

Once I noticed the 35i had closed air inlets, they could not be unnoticed.

The chrome outer/ black inner grills also needed to go, so I ordered the open mesh covers and the titanium grills from the 50i.

Titanium grills and open mesh inlets installed

Then it was time to delete the rear reflectors...

Deleted

Next up is the pedal install and hopefully a proper photoshoot.

Sweet ride. I pick mine up next week Thanks for the tips on the closed inlets - what did you pay for the open set? I'm also thinking of switching up the front grills - where did you source the parts?

Very nice! Thinking of doing my reflectors too, front and back. Already ordered the side grill as well.

Can u explain the process for the rear reflectors?

Also, where did u order the front and rear painted reflectors and are the fronts available for those with cameras?

cheers,

cheers,
The rears were actually surprisingly easy to remove. They're just clipped in, unlike the fronts. You can reach them from under the bumper. I was able to just slid under the rear and feel where the reflector was. Feel right about the exhaust outlet. Then I just pushed the clip and the reflector out. The clip is on the side closest to the trunk. It's really logical once you see the painted reflector's back and you look under the car. There's probably a way to do it from the outside. This is just how I did it. The clip is just like the side marker clip though.

I got the reflectors from IND distribution. He has posted in this thread. And yes, they can do the side camera reflectors.

Great looking X5, one of the better ones in my opinion. kept the OEM look but gave it that personal touch. Now that you've pointed out the air inlets they're gonna be off my X5 ASAP!
Beautiful X5 might even copy it exactly!
