Trading in my 335i to X6 35i

I am in the process of dealing on a 2011 X6 35i with premium package, sport package, premium sound, HUD, BMW performance aero kit and a few extra add on. I am hoping to close the deal by tomorrow. If not, I might have to wait till the LCI model come out whenever that might be.

Just curious, what made you decide on the x6? I am going from my 2008 335i to x6m for more room and for tax purposes. Really thought about x5m but loved driving an x6 5.0.

a bit more trunk space, higher driving position and it also seems a bit different than the X5, Xdrive with DPC (great in winter), and the styling is great with the Performance Aero kit. I was looking at the X5D as well. But there seems to be so much X5 in this area so I decided to get the X6 (more unique)

I agree totally! The x5 is much more common in our area as well. The x6 seems to be much more polarizing; either you love it or you dont!

I am one of the people who love the styling and the deal is done. It is schedule to be delivered this Friday. I ordered the winter tires/wheels package from Tirerack and made an appointment to have the 3M done next week. I will post some pic this weekend.

For me, I got X6 for the following reasons:

1. A higher driving position. My last car was lowered. When I was driving, I couldn't see anything past the car in front of me. So with a higher driving position I feel safer

2. More leg rooms. More comfortable.

3. Sporty look. I want a higher driving position (SUV), but also want to keep a sporty look. There is no better choice than the BMW X6

4. Unique. In Vancouver, the ratio of X5:X6 is around 20:1.....There is just too many X5s out there.
