Off the top of my head Front 22x10.5 ET35 (but now I am on ET15 with 20mm spacers) Rear 22x12 ET25 (ET5 with spacers) I got it sitting very aggressive when on driving height its dead flush with the fender flares, with suspension aired out the wheels pull in at the top which gives me tuck clearance. |

To get it to the stage its at has taken me close to 80-90 hours of detailing. I am a complete perfectionist when it comes to the finish of the paint. BMWs have horrendous orange peel. Therefore like with most of my vehicles I wet sand the clear coat. 70% of the vehicle as been wet sanded. The roof, sills and bumpers haven't been sanded. Roof is generally always flat, bumpers were all painted when I did the conversion to perfect finish. And the sills are plastic and like with the front fenders are little harder to work out marks left by sanding due to the head build up.
I used from 1500, 2000, 2500, 3000 grit paper. This was followed by 3 stage polishing, 1st stage was compound to remove the sanding marks, 2nd stage is a polishing stage then 3rd is final finish. Followed by complete IPA wipe down and finished with Gtechniqs Crystal Serum and Exo V2 sealant. I use 3M, Sonus and Scholl polishes and pads. I lost 3-5 microns to achieve the finish, most panels were anywhere from 110-165 microns. Here's some before/afters and during shots I fished out. |

It looks perfect! I buffed my entire truck with an orbital buffer but I'm still seeing lots of orange peel. I was going to wet sand everything but WOW you started with 1500grit??? I wanted to start with 2500 and work my way up to 4500 grit. Here's what I'm using, it does a great job but maybe I'll try your products if it doesn't come out perfect as I'm very OCD

Initially I started with 2000 grit but it wasn't making much of an impression. Besides the clear coat on BMWs tend to be rock hard. Please if your doing any of this use a paint depth gauge and make sure you know what panels are low. I use PosiTest depth gauge.

I haven't used my paint depth gauge yet but I'm assuming its going to be a lot thinner around the flared out fenders and other body lines with curves. After I buffed it out using just carnauba wax I still see the orange peel on certain angles, I'm going to wet sand the entire truck before the cold weather gets here... the funny thing is, out of all my friends cars I've detailed, none have orange peel like a BMW
