I searched and didn't really find any concrete information on front clearances. I know the rears will fit no problem..

I'm looking to do a square setup (so I can rotate tires) and looking at 10.5+40 all around. Looking at bmwstylewheels.com it seems my 19" 335 wheels are 19x9+48, same specs as 334 wheels, which would reduce my front inner clearance by 11mm.

assuming that website is correct and I probably run a square setup right now @ 19x9+48, comparing it to stock:

Front:
OEM 20s 20x10+40: 5mm less inner, extends 21mm
Wheel1 20x10.5+40: 10mm less inner, extends 26mm

Rear:
OEM 20s 20x11+37: 14mm less inner, extends 36mm
Wheel1 20x10.5+40: 10mm less inner, extends 26mm (i'll probably run a 20mm spacer unless this would adversely affect towing ability...)

Am I safe in the front with these wheels??

I plan to run 295/40R20 conti DWS which is also very close to stock tire/wheel diameter of 29.2"

the bmwstylewheels lists the 335 wheels in a staggered setup. does anyone know if this is false? they look like the same offsets for the fronts as the backs.

Interesting, that does seem to be the case.

I always thought the 223M wheels were the only staggered 19s for the E70.

Staggered refers to different width wheels and tires on the front versus the rear, not different offsets, although they certainly can be different.

sorry, i should have been more clear. I was referring to the wheels on my actual car as they look square.. so I doubt they are staggered. hub face is the same thickness and visually don't look staggered as the 223M's do....

...and a staggered setup almost always have different offsets for front and rear in addition to different widths.

Are your tires the same size? If so the wheels aren't staggered.

guess you weren't really reading the thread. my wheels to my knowledge after looking at them aren't staggered. a website says they could be. you can mount that same tire on a 9 or 10" wheel.

just trying to figure out what i definitively have so my measurements are accurate.

Sorry for trying to decipher whatever the hell you are asking. Take a tape measure, stick it through your rear wheel to the inner side and measure the distance between the inner edge of the wheel and the outer edge of the wheel. Do the same thing to the front. If they are different numbers, they are staggered. If they are the same, they aren't staggered. If you still can't tell come to my house and I will do it for you.
