How to replace a roundel?

Anyone with a good advice on how to remove the steering wheel BMW logo or roundel?
Bought a set of black and white CF roundels but have no idea how to remove without damaging anything

You don't remove the one on the steering wheel. The replacement sticks into the original.

If you plan on replacing the outside roundels the rear is a real PITA.

Feel free to email me and I can walk you through how I did it.

Long story short, I ended up having my body shop remove the chrome housing (it's adhered to the paint). I then had them paint the housing space grey (the plot scheme I have on the X5M).

They heated up the stock emblem to remove it. Then used the aftermarket on from Trinity Autosport and stuck it into the housing.

It's alot more work if you want it to look right and not mess up the housing. But well worth it.

My housing and rear emblem is going in this week.

I will post pics

Please do so, post pics as soon as you finish the job
Be sure I will PM you as soon as I get the rear roundel because the kit I got came wrong, the rear one came smaller so I have to wait a week or so for the replacement roundel, it will be great to guide me thrue the process to avoid damaging the housing

Came out great on the rear! Hope my advice was helpful.

I'm still waiting get mine put on. Weather has been crappy and x5m was in the shop for over a week trying to get inspection.

Next week mine will be on!!

The real carbon fiber replacement roundels look so much better than the stupid stickers in my opinion.

Looks great!

Be sure they look better than the stickers. I just hope they will last for a good time.
