Fog Light Question
Weird question about the fog lights.
I keep my lights on auto and noticed that if I'm driving straight, the fog lights are off, if I turn right my right fog light (only) turns on, and if I turn left my left fog light (only) turns on. Is this normal? |

You can turn them on manually. They also come on when backing up. Still can't figure that one out.

I find it vey useful when making tight turns trying to park when it is vey dark (no street lighting). VW also incorporating this feature.
I don't think it matters what observers think it is a definite benefit for the driver. If the foglight lamp did not woek you would get a lamp failure warning. BMW should better explain it in the Handbook and dealers should fully explain it to customers on vehicle delivery. |

As everyone says, it is a feature, not a bug.
It helps you see the corner better when you are turning. The fog light turns on when: 1. Your blinkers are clicked. 2. You turn the steering wheel (even without turning on blinker) It is quite a useful feature. You can also see that on X5, and Mercedes. |
