X6M on the way

Just placed an order on a 2011 X6M Alpine white on Black, with executive pkg and custom order comfort seats. The car will be taking delivery at the end of December, now I have a few question from fellow members. Can I use the replica style 215 with hub bore 74.1mm for my winter setup? I will be running 275/40/20 Front, and 295/40/20 Rear.

Good luck with that size setup.

IMHO-and 20 years of extreme winter driving experience, 275 & 295's will turn your "M"onster into an un-steerable sled.

I prefer having the winter driving confidence from a tire setup that performs like a RAM Dall sheep.

With my 2011 X6M delivery last month, I began searching for "ANY" winter wheel that would clear those huge frt hubs & brakes. This search was narrowed very quickly with the "only available" and fortunately not so bad looking option which I ended up purchasing. For what it's worth, this is the "ONLY" approved BMW X6 ///M winter wheel solution I could find with my winter season now here:

V-Spoke 298M (9Jx19EH2+, with 255/50R19 -107V Goodyear Ultra Grip RFT's).

Looks like the BMW CA dealers have this winter wheel setup with Conti 4X4 WinterContact SSR (RSC).

Last winter, I ran the 255/50R19 Bridgestone Blizzaks frt & rear on my 2008 X6 50i, and it performed like mountain goats when ever I needed.

Winter tire need to be narrow!!the wider it is,the lower the preassure on the ground(snow).

I actually got a set of 255/50/19 Bridgestone Bilzzaks lying around from my previous X5. But I don't know if it will clear the massive front brake of the X6M.
Update: Yep you are right, seems like the only choice for the 19" wheel is the OEM style 298M

I just installed these on my X5M. Just about piled the truck into a curb twice on the way to the dealer. Not cheap at all, I got bent over and banged dry for $4600.00 CAD.

That's the greatest, most offensive avatar I have ever seen LOL!

Is your 298M set on Continentals or Goodyears?

I had the same, and got the 298Ms. I had my 255/50/19 Blizzaks fitted onto them yesterday and so far they are awesome - coping with everything thrown at them - and we have a little bit of snow at the moment
