M Performance Package for 2013

The old perf kit was available for the 08-10 X6 and I think only on the 50. It was actually a factory option as well. But they wouldn't allow it on the 8 speed trans.

I swear I read it somewhere that the kit was going to be made avail for existing owners. My dealer confirmed this (yea, I know, take that for what it is worth).

There has been plenty of proof that hitting the engine hard from the start followed by an almost immediate change of oil, allows the engine to produce not only more power, but burn less oil in the long run.

Now of course LOTS of people (even BMW) don't subscribe to this. But I bet over time, with the incredibly tight tolerances these engines have, you will see break in periods go bye bye.

I am confused. bmwusa.com has both the new 2013 x5 and x6 on their website, but when I try to build either of them and check out the M Pack, it doesn't mention anything about a power boost. Where did you guys hear that the M Performance Package will add horsepower?

Look under Features and Specs
Then click on specifications
There is a footnote next to the HP figure. On the X6 50i page it says 1. 430 hp with M Performance Package
However on the X5 50i page it says 1. 440 horsepower with M Performance Package.

Worse, people are receiving their 2013 X6s with the M perf package and things like the blacked out exhaust and door sills are missing.

Im curious to see what the window sticker says in reference to the Msport pkg and any increase in power. If the hp/tq is bumped, it should be disclosed on the window sticker, no?

my new 2013 x5 5.0 with all packages and options just went into production. But honostly been a long time x5 owner with the 4.8 engine, I just dont care for the look of the M performance package. I am also a brand new M3 owner. I think the M performance package on the x5 makes the truck look less agressive and too fake for my taste. I thinks is way too much money to pay over my 80k final listed price too make the truck look like something so weird looking. Not a X5 5.0 and not a MX5!!!

The M Perfomance package only adds black exhaust tips and the stainless pedals, which of those things look too aggressive?

Hello Just picked up my 2013 X5 SAV will post pictures soon. Just wanted to say hello. Turn down a 2012 X5M loaded for 79k.. Did not have the third row seat plus I have a Dinan-M5. Plus Gas in Germany is $8.50 a gal! Hello .
