2011 x5. Battery swap anything i need to know?

Someone told me that i have to program the car to know the new batteries amps??
Is this true or can i just swap it out myself?

You have to tell the car that a new battery has been installed. Even if one has been installed with the same part number.

This is because the car will charge the battery differently depending on the age of the battery.
