F/S OEM gutted downpipes
F/S a pair of gutted OEM downpipes from X5M, used them for the track days great replacement if you don't want to spend a lot of money on the aftermarket catless pipes. Pictures coming soon. Thank you. Last edited by Rob NY; 04-10-2015 at 07:07 AM.. |

My wife still thinks of the X5M as a luxury car... I'm wondering if there is added performance that you can actually feel or does going catless simply mean that it sounds better?
- Gixxer wishes there were some realistic way to compare the two! Last edited by gixxerboy63; 03-19-2015 at 11:00 PM.. |

sound + performance, also if you have the tune (which you will need if you go catless ) its a huge difference.

Hey what's up man? Saw this post when you first put them up. I've been looking for a catless set up. Any idea if this will fit my 35i? Thanks

Sound was better with these, meaning gutted stock or the AR's? I mentioned this on another post, but let's say we can hit 650 gutted for free vs 660 Akropovic, AR, etc @ $1400-$2000, I'd happily go gutted until prices become realistic on 3' of pipe.

Bump for clarification. It was suggested to me that gutted cats would cause tubulence and cause the boost to act funny with that big bubble of open space where the cats were, but I'd rather be certain from someone who's actually done it and used it.

I've gutted mine, I can't complain. Little quicker throttle respone, little more exhaust note for daily driving but definitely noticeable for cold morning idling.
