Water in Tail light
It seems like there is water getting into the tail light and causing the water to touch the contacts to the socket and causing them to rust. That\'s why the tail light keeps going out. Is there a way to fix the seal or rubber so that water doesn\'t seep in?

Hi
New to the board I had this very problem when I had my X5 35d, my local dealer (in the UK) told me it was a manufacturing defect & I had mine replaced under the warranty. The service manager told me I was the 7th person at that dealership with the same problem Good luck |

There's an official BMW bulletin for this issue. The dealership has to fix it under warranty.
