X5 WRECKS - Damage reported
WHY are there so many X5's with "damage reported" on the Carfax?
I have never in my life seen so many damaged vehicles in 1 brand.. What are you people doing to your vehicles? haha Is it hard to handle an X5? steering problem --> |

Damage can be really anything. All you typically see is if something is noted, but not what or how much damage. How these companies also source their data can be something misleading too.
Could a Paintless dent removal company sell their data to Carfax? You betcha. Was it important to call out, probably not. Dealer, absolutely. What if it were a major service, due to a defect that is not a recall? Or fixing something as a repair, but not marked as an accident? Wheel repair, it's possible. Insurance, no doubt. The best thing is a thorough inspection. Paint overspray is usually the most tell-tale sign, door/panel alignment, etc. From there, non-OEM parts will need a deeper look from a trusted/knowledgeable mechanic. |

Carfaxes are grossly inaccurate and operate with complete impunity. It’s best to take information reported as only one of many pieces of documentation before making an informed decision. If unsure, get a PPI by a knowledgeable 3rd party mechanic.

Dare I say it, but most X5s sold were for soccer moms, and they are not always the best of drivers, so probably lots of parking lot crashes, texting incidents etc.
