What floor jack for X5M?
Wanted to check what floor jack you guys are using. I only intend on using it to swap out summer / winter wheels, so I figured a 3 ton Arcan would suffice. Any thoughts?

Yes that is a good jack, it gets high enough to lift our SAV to remove wheels.
Safety first, always use jack stands...

The Arcan XL 35R is a great jack. I've used one for many years on my X5 and X6.

I thought would do the same but, decided to leave it to the shop as the jack points, torque applied to nuts and other details may risk some damage. I'd always pop the hood up to avoid messing with the air suspension, it'll tell the computer the car is service mode.

easy swap. Just re-torque the lugs to spec. 101 ft/bs. I've got a jackpad adapter from Reverse Logic, no damage whatsoever.

Burger also makes a jackpad adapter. I think I paid about $15 a year or two ago.

I bought a used factory jack from BMW Auto Recyclers in CA for $65 shipped, including the handle. Works like a charm and takes up no space.
