Wheel Alignment
Found out i need a wheel alignment really bad. Right rear tire is completely worn out unevenly. I only noticed when i put my new summer wheels on today.
So, Mavis Tire charges $120 for full alignment and Dealer is charging $290. Clearly Mavis is alot cheaper bit Who should I go with if money was not a factor? Does the dealer actually do a better alignment?? |

I think the key here is depends on the alignment tech and the equipment. A shop that specifically only does alignment is probably the best choice. I wouldn't take it to any old shop to do an alignment. Equipment and software is important as is the experience of the techs. Unfortunately many shops alignment techs are just above an oil change tech. The preffered alignment equipment for bmw is a hunter machine with the integrated BMW software. I think it is called KDS II KDS 3D being the most recent. If your rig has active steering this makes it all the more important to have the right equipment and technician working on it. Find out what type of equipment the shop is using and how experienced they are with BMW's. I wouldn't let price alone determine where to take it for alignment.
