Nav computer malfunction
Anyone else have their nav screen go blank then back to logo then blank again, over and over. X6 is in the shop for the third time now for this problem. When it goes out no radio or nav or phone functions. They have checked all the connections-no problem, they reprogramed it, it worked for a few days. Now they are replacing the computer. I hope this is not a problem with the new way of wiring the car. Wifes nav has never gone out in the last year. cheap

This is the SAME system they have used for years in all the different model series from the 7 series down to the 3 series.

Someone told me they changed the way the system was wired into the car, on a new faster bus, (optical?) Anyway, everytime I hit a large bump system went out. They could not find any loose connections so they have replaced the computer, we will see if this fixes it. Otherwise lemon time. cheap

I had mine go blank and stay that way on a quick trip to/from a store. The car was OK the next day and has been since. It was probably just a computer glitch and like a computer, needed a reboot.
