How do you turn Navigation off?

If any of you x6ers know how to turn off the nav system please, please share the secret! I am getting really reluctant to use the thing, knowing that once it brings me to a familiar road, it cannot be made to shut up!!

Are you referring to the voice for nav instructions?

Several options.

1. DISABLE ONLY NAV AUDIO - Program a steering wheel button to switch audio nav instructions on and off. Note when a button is programmed, pressing the button briefly will cause the nav to repeat the current/last nav instruction. Pressing the button down for a second or more toggles nav audio instruction off/on.

2. DISABLE NAV and AUDIO - Using voice command say "STOP/START GUIDANCE or
GUIDANCE ON/OFF. This disables current nav route and audio.

3. DISABLE NAV OR AUDIO-Your third option is when the Nav map is displayed in the left window, toggle to the left side where the verticle row of icons are. Select the icon for audio and press the controller down to turn off. There may be a voice command to turn off nav voice/audio but I can't think of it at the moment. There is also an icon to turn guidance on/off. Keep in mind when you turn guidance off than back on, it uses the last route previously providing guidance to continue on.

Kind of strange your problem..
Guidance stops automatically when you arrive at the destination.
So I guess you never make it to your appointments
