X5 Glovebox won't stay closed?
Open to suggestions Water got into the connector for the computer thingy in the fuse box, so replacing that fixed some problems. However I suspect there's still a pin loose or corroded or something on the "blue" connector down there.
If I close the glovebox, then I can push the button and it opens (wow, but that was part of the problem fixed by replacing the thing down below) However, if I let it sit, it opens itself after 10 seconds or so. I suspect that either the switch wire to the brain is loose/intermittent, or that the output to the glovebox motor is similarly loose. Problem is, I don't know which wires to look for and where. Oh, probably related, the glovebox light won't go out. Also wondering if there's a switch/wire sensor that tells it if the glovebox is closed? TIA, Shawn |
