VSFR downpipe for X5 3.5i

I currently have a BMS Stage 1 installed. Will I need another tune or will I be able to run this downpipe with my current tune? Will I damage any part of my car if the tune is not set to run a downpipe?

I plan to order the one with the CEL delete. My only concern is damaging my engine if the tune is not compatible or no tune

The tune gets rid of the check engine light and increase boost to compensate for the catless downpipe. If you're still running stage 1 with the catless downpipe, you will be fine. Just won't unlock the full potential of it though. Although, more boost = increased wear and tear on the turbo/engine.

I have a 2013 x5 35i with vrsf DP. You will need a bench tune and flash from MHD to clear the CEL and run the car smoother. Huge improvement over stock.

VSFR now offers their downpipe with a cell delete option for $99 more. What is a bench tune?

Late 2012 and 2013 models have the DME locked from the factory to prevent tuning thru the OBDII port. Before you can install a tune, you'll need to remove the DME, and send it to someone like Twisted Tuning and have them bench flash it to unlock OBDII tuning. Reinstall the DME and then you can install the MHD tunes or whatever tunes you are looking at
