winter tyres non-run flat for the x6
Hi guys,
Did anyone do this? For my E92 i bought Michelin Pilot Sport non-run flat and it was awesome, however those tires had reinforced sides so not too far from run-flat rigiditiy, any ideas on the choice of winter tyres for the x6? In case I have a flat then is a real pain to find the same tyre at normal price. Quantities produces are mainly for BMW dealers who then set their own pricing. Anyways, been through all of that with the E92 which is why I want to get non-run flat. I would appreciate your feedback. |

I went with Nokian WR G2 SUV tires, 275/40R20 106 V XL
They are mounted on TSW Nurburgring wheels Some people did the same setup in 19'' version European tire, btw |

Thanks! There is real shortage of tires in Europe, bcs of booming China market. I got scorpio pirelli winter tires RFT as the only (mixed size front rear) combo I could find non-run flat was vredestein and there were only slightly cheaper then RFT Pirelli.

I went with Bridgestone WR-25, but 19" as BMW strongly recommends sizing down for winters.
Used to have the Pirelli Scorpions. Hated them. They wore out fast and were only moderately effective as a winter M+S tire. |

Thanks for the info. I got Pirelli Scorpions as I did not have much choice. So far they seem to handle quite good. Did not find the dimensions from other brands for non-RFT (I have mixed size 19") and these were the only available. Anyways, what's done is done. I think all RFT tires ware out fast. There is a serious shortage of winter tires in Europe now, but that is off the topic.
