Beautiful car. That was my first option black and white but I did end up with white and brown. Did you order the 6nr app? if yes then how you like it, did u played with it?? I also noticed that you have the all-weather rubber mats. Did you buy them from the dealer same day???

Could you also tell me if the rear plate lights are LEDs??? and are they blueish or white. Also does the car comes with welcome lights in the door handles as standard?

Glina - yes i have the 6nr app. Havent used most of the functionality except the iphone integration. Works great. The all weather floor "fitted liners" ( not rubber mats) I ordered 1 week before the X6 arrived. The dealers usually have rubber mats in stock but not the fitted liners. I highly recommend the liners. I also ordered the rear cargo mat and locking lug nut kit for the wheels. Ask your dealer for 20% off accessories as you can order most popular BMW accessory on line (e-Bay) from various BMW dealers (usally NJ dealers) at 20% off. Good luck!

likecarz,
Would you be kind enough to post a pic of the back seat with the arm rest down? I want to check out the cup holder situation. My CA couldn't get that info for me. We're assuming that they're the same as the x5, but assuming doesn't work out so well sometimes. (heck, from all we can tell from the literature, there are NO upholders back there!) Thanks! |

congrats!
awesome car.
thanks for posting pics and for settling all our nagging questions. any pics of the floor mats and rear cargo mat / fitment / coverage would be appreciated as well. My 35i (on order) has the sand-beige interior which I'm sure will get dingy in no time, so I'm looking for a good way to protect the footwells and cargo carpet. sorrykindof, but... I wouldn't recommend the two-sided trunk mat - if anyone's considering it, try before you buy. I got a great deal online (my dealer doesn't keep things like that around), but I was disappointed when it arrived. Poor design - it's doubled up (I imagine so you can fold it out to protect the rear seat backs when rear seat are folded down), but the material has a stiff permanent crease that doesn't really "reverse" well so the mat doesn't lie flat. The rubber side seems pretty useless, won't really lie flat. Also, the bumper-protector rubber flap stows under the floor mat (so once the car is loaded, you really can't lift the mat to tuck it in...). CONGRATS AGAIN - may your break-in period pass quickly! |

Barbja....am traveling this week and next so not sure I will have a pic posted on the rear seat. BUT, it does have a large armrest which pulls down ..and toward the front is nice fold out set of cupholders...push a button and they open....push them down to close so the whole surface is flat.
Somonster - the rear cargo mat I have is great...fits snug into the rear cargo area..no sliding...and it cleans up easy: Here is the part number and price: All Weather Rear Cargo Liner. Color Black.* Part No. 82-11-044-3119** $73.00 The Floor liners /Mats are: - BMW All Weather Floor Liners FRONT:* Color Black* Part No. 82-11-041-7988* $103 - BMW All Weather Floor LinersREAR* Color Black **Part No. 82-11-041-7991* $95 ( 1 piece which fits across both sides) Thanks, -likecarz |

Thank you Likecarz for the pics! But what?! No new headlights like the new 3s and 5s (and 6)? Rumor has it that the 2013 will be all new, but I didn't really imagine they would save those lights for then. If I look at it this way, that's 6 months more of waiting than placing an order in October. I can wait longer. Anywho, pics are much appreciated.

Probably won't tune it up as I usually flip cars (sell them or do lease assumptions in Europe) after 6 to 8 months. Get into something new from BMW....probably an M5 or M6 I find that I can move the car faster if its factory stock.

likecarz,
M5, huh? Life is good... Anyhow, thanks for taking the time to post your observations and the part information about the floor / cargo mats. I still have over a month until delivery (*sigh*) so I have time to order from my dealer. Thanks again for the pictures! -somonster |
