Replace X5M buzzing speaker with Individual?

Got a drivers side buzzing speaker.

I think the part number is: 65139151864

Can I replace with the Individual part: 65139141501 for better sound?

Or does it require the full individual amplifier as well?

Well, if you upgrade 1 speaker, might as well upgrade both. Or a few, if you purchase a set.

Car audio is a confusing debate at best, I think upgraded speakers would make a difference regardless of being amped, the amp just gets the speakers to the louder points with better clarity.

I could be completely wrong.

I think it comes down to impedance levels, and if the gap is too far then it won't run efficiently and you may end up wasting money.

BMW does use some fancy wizardry in forms of optical audio cables, and multi-amped systems. It may be worth going in to a dedicated audio shop, or browsing the more popular m5/m3 forums and cross referencing other cars.
