Reflector removal tips...
I've heard of guys using dental floss, that didn't work for me. There is a tab on the front side that needs to be pushed back, then the front releases and whole thing slides out (tab at the rear that slides in).
I have a post that has a picture of the new one (a little tough to make out in the plastic but you can see it) http://www.xbimmers.com/forums/showt...t=side+markers . I used a small trim tool that I could slide in and push the tab back. You can also use a long, thin screwdriver but put a towel between the handle and the bumper or it may damage the paint. Good luck!

I used dental floss..
Take about 12 inches of floss, and double it over itself. The trick is hooking it over the back corner of the reflector with something very small, like a fingernail or a toothpick. Once you have the floss completely behind the reflector just pull it to the front and out at the same time. It'll just pop right off. horrible pic, but it gives you the idea. :-) |
