Hi Guys! Audi going and X5D on order!!! Delivered with pics!
Update! took delivery last Monday. I'm really loving it! wish it was a tad bit quicker, but I'm not complaining. K&N drop in, black kidneys, and all weather liners should be in tomorrow. Got over 450 miles on last tank said I had 48 left when I filled up today. Cleaned up and here you go...
Well after waiting a year for the 2012 A6 to arrive and find out that Audi cut the avant (wagon) out I really started exploring my options. I currently have an 06 A4 that I've simply outgrown and Audi just wasn't bringing anything to the table. I have never been a huge fan of BMW, but a trip to my local dealer (and a X5 test drive) changed that. I loved the torque and MPG of the Diesel and plan on doing the Juice Box ASAP. I placed my order today and my new X5 is supposed to go into production tomorrow. MSRP $68.5 I ordered it through Zag and Amex auto purchasing and with the ECO and BMW Olympic drive I'm paying $59.5, is that good? Here's what I got.... Are you going trade that A4 in? Or keep it?

Congrats!
Mine is supposed to be finished with production Monday 8/22. It's in the paint shop today. My order went in Monday 8/8, so two weeks from order to finished. Hoping for no more than a couple days transport to KC. FYI, you can call BMW NA customer service and there's a phone menu option to check production status, it's more accurate than checking online at bmwusa.com |

Lol, gonna wait for 200ml then run it at default settings for next 1000ml, then increase slowly to 100% fingers crossed no codes will pop. Might be adding some cetane booster down the road for the higher settings. Got also the K&N filter sitting here.

I'm totally ordering the JBD for mine. How many miles do you have on your D? I don't know if I should wait till 5k miles or just slap it right on.

I just hit 9k. I think you should be safe at 5k as it is broken in. I can't wait to feel the take off. I've read other sites that claim the throttle response is night and day!

Picking up the X5D in the am! Doubt I'm getting any sleep tonight. Taking Amtrak from RVA to DC to get it. 2 weeks from order to dealership!

I am for sure putting on the JBD when we get ours. Tell us how you do on the hwy with it and your mpg. I saw someone say 40mpg...that would be amazing.

How many miles do you have? I've got 240 lol, I don't know if I should wait until I have like 3000 or so before I juice it? BTW, I'm in love with my X5!

I have 9k on mine. I would think that you would be fine after 1k. The dealer told me that the most crucial part of the break in period was the first 500 miles.
I averaged 30 MPG at 78 MPH on the highway yesterday. It's still over 100 here in Arizona. I know that I'll get better figures when it cools down! |
