Differential gear oil - Service message

Hello

I have an X5 3.0 2009 with 60k miles on it, and I see in the Idrive service messages that I need to replace the differential gear oil soon.
I went to the dealer, he saw the service list and he told me that was the first time that he see that kind if message. Usually you don't need to replace it.
Could be a bad reset or a bad sensor ?
Before put my head in the dealer's desk, I would like to do my research.
Anyone have this message before?
Thanks in advance.
