Retrofitting exhaust valves / flaps to aftermarket X5M
Anyone retrofitted valves to an aftermarket exhaust on their E70 X5M?
https://www.bimmerworld.com/Exhaust/...747810831.html https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=18_0779 I have had to put on a new aftermarket exhaust and it's too loud still and would like to quieten it down further. Looks similar to this: The previous owner's custom made magnaflow exhaust became pretty bad sounding with cat pipes (lots of drone, way too loud) so I got a local exhaust shop to custom make an exhaust including 200CPSI secondary cats. Wondering if anyone had retrofitted these https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=18_0779

The links you posted only go to the solenoids, not the actual flaps...I’m sure you could find some weld in flaps and would then need to retrofit the solenoid with some sort of toggle actuator after running vacuum lines from the engine bay. Doable, but time consuming and probably expensive for the flaps.
